Day 1  Tortuguero National Park walking and Canoe Tour  One of Costa Rica's most popular eco-tourism destinations, the canals and rivers of Tortuguero National Park are abundant with exciting plant and wildlife species. Costa Rica’s Tortuguero national park preserves 21,000 hectares of tropical rain forest, and is abundant with exciting species of plant and animal life. Take a 3-day trip from San Jose, and discover a rich landscape of lush greenery, and sleepy canals.Led by an expert guide, head out of San Jose, and stay at the La Baula Lodge in the heart of Tortuguero national park. Get to grips with the freshwater and marine biology of the area, and if you are lucky, spot an Atlantic green turtle! Day 2 Arenal Volcano National Park and Tabacon Resort Hike in one of the most spectacular destinations in Costa Rica, the Arenal Volcano! As the most active volcano in the country, don't be surprised if you hear a crackling noise or smoke coming out of its mouth. You will be picked up at your Hotel in la Fortuna de San Carlos or San José and taken to enjoy a typical Costa Rican breakfast. Then you'll begin the hike along one of the trails close to the volcano. The trail will take you through the forest over recent lava flows and the area destroyed in 1968, now in the process of regeneration. You are going to be on this trail for about 2 1⁄2 hours of the total 4 hours of the tour.Then you will enjoy relaxing in the Arenal hot springs, considered a natural expression of Earth's inherent energy. Geologically, the hot springs resort in Arenal are made 97% from rain and 3% from the magma. Day 3 Manuel Antonio National Park Manuel Antonio National Park is considered one of the most beautiful parks in Costa Rica. On this tour, you will visit heavenly beaches with clear water and coral reefs, bordered by exuberant vegatation and natural wonders of the tropical rainforest Its beaches are counted among the best in the country, where snorkeling and the surfing are very popular. You’ll also travel past small villages along the Pacific Coast, until you reach the port of Quepos and the National Park. Since the park itself is closed to vehicles, you will hike to the preserve, crossing a creek. Once in the park, you can simply relax and enjoy the beach, sunbathe or hike through the park's trails, which will allow you to observe Manuel Antonio’s abundant flora and fauna, hike on the trails and relax on the prestine beaches.
