5:30 to 6:00am- Pick up in all Hotels in San José. Day 1 Arenal Volcano National Park and Tabacon Resort Hike in one of the most spectacular destinations in Costa Rica, the Arenal Volcano! As the most active volcano in the country, don't be surprised if you hear a crackling noise or smoke coming out of its mouth. You will be picked up at your Hotel in la Fortuna de San Carlos or San José and taken to enjoy a typical Costa Rican breakfast. Then you'll begin the hike along one of the trails close to the volcano. The trail will take you through the forest over recent lava flows and the area destroyed in 1968, now in the process of regeneration. You are going to be on this trail for about 2.5 hours of the total 4 hours of the tour. Then you will enjoy relaxing in the Arenal Hot Springs, considered a natural expression of Earth's inherent energy.
