These caves serve as habitat for various species of bats. The climate, humid and warm, has favored the development of a vegetation of strawberry trees, Poroporo, cocobolo, Caoba, pochote, gallinazo, indio desnudo and peine de mico, which constitute the habitat and food for numerous deer, buzzards, coyotes, armadillos, anteaters, squirrels and Congo monkeys that populate the park.Hiking through system of limestone caverns, reef rocks constitute Barra Honda hill, of 300 meters tall.
